What is AccuVoice Technology?
AccuVoice is ZVOX's patented technology that lifts voices out of soundtracks to make them clear and understandable. It works much like hearing aid technology, but uses a much more advanced processor that is capable of subtle manipulation of sound. Some of our models also feature SuperVoice, which takes dialogue clarity to a new level by dramatically reducing non-vocal background sounds.

WHAT MAKES ACCUVOICE SOUNDBARS BETTER THAN THE OTHER GUYS?
Conventional sound bars often neglect dialogue clarity, focusing instead on bass or flashy features. AccuVoice speakers are built with one goal: making voices easier to understand. Whether it’s a whisper in a drama or fast-paced football commentary, you’ll finally hear every word.

Engineered for Vocal Clarity
ZVOX AccuVoice® speakers use hearing-aid-inspired algorithms to isolate and lift voices above background noise—going far beyond basic equalization. With advanced features like formant enhancement and consonant-range boosting, AccuVoice delivers dialogue that’s not just louder, but unmistakably clearer.

Immersive, Virtual Surround Sound
ZVOX systems use a proprietary technology that creates room-filling 3D sound from one cabinet. Our PhaseCue® system literally “fool the ear” into believing that sounds are coming from places in the room where there are no speakers. No, it’s not quite as convincing as a 5-speaker surround system, but it’s quite realistic. You get a room full of sound without a room full of speakers.

Simple Setup. Instant Results.
No complicated installs or multiple wires. Just plug in a single cord to your TV. Most models also support Bluetooth for quick wireless control. You'll be enjoying clearer sound in minutes.

Tame Overly Loud Commercials
With our Output Leveling (OL) feature, loud commercials are toned down and quiet scenes are lifted up—automatically. You get balanced audio across the board. Available on the AV157, AV355, AV855, and SB500.
WHY CAN’T I UNDERSTAND VOICES ON TV?
TV dialogue audio has become harder to hear for three big reasons:
- TV Hardware Limitations
Today’s flat-screen TVs have amazing image resolution—but terrible sound fidelity. Ultra-thin designs leave no room for proper speakers. Most use small, rear- and/or downward-firing drivers that bounce sound off walls and surfaces, making speech feel distant, dull, and muffled. Natural speech is directed directly at the receiver. - Content Mixing / Quality Degradation
Hollywood prioritizes cinematic drama over speech clarity. Dialogue is often treated like just another track in a dense mix, competing with music, sound effects, and ambiance. What’s clear in a studio often gets lost in your living room, especially with streaming services built to deliver content favoring data compression—not quality.
- Human Hearing Challenges
As we age, it becomes harder to hear mid-to-high frequency sounds—especially consonants like “s,” “t,” and “f.” According to The Lancet, 1 in 3 adults aged 65–74 has hearing loss. By 75, it’s 1 in 2.
